GE H639AC dial string diagram

I cant find a dial string guide for this radio. The online source I usually use (theoldradiofixerupper) doesn't list it. Does anyone have this guide or are familiar enough with this radio that you can "talk me" through it?

I tried several times and I'm stuck.

Thanks for your help!

Steve

I believe the GE H-634 has the same thumb wheel tuner drive. Try this schematic for the dial cord information. ( At bottom of page ) Should be the same.

Thanks Warren. I don't think this is it.
I did get the dial string on and it moves with the tuning cap. What I am not sure of is when the thing cap is fully meshed, is that the high frequency part of the dial?

I have it set up so the pointer is at 1600 that way.
Thanks,
Steve

Unfortunately no, that’s wrong. When the tuner is closed that’s the low end of the AM stations. Now that you have it strung so it does turn the tuner pulley and dial pointer, it should be a matter of reverse the direction the pulley is strung.

Thanks. It turns out I diid have it the correct way after all. It is unmeshed at the 1600 mark. My memory was off.

Thank you for your help!
