RCA 59V1 output transformer

I have a RCA 59V1 Radio/ Phonograph. It leaked the wax out of the output transformer mounted on the speaker. It got very hot. Does anyone know where I can find a replacement, and what futher testing I should do? Thanks

Test resistance from center tap to each end of the primary windings. Should be around 300 ohms each side. The total resistance of primary is 600 ohms. Check C-41 & C-42 for leakage or shorted. If transformer proves to be bad AES sells the Hammond universal replacement

:
Measure 612 total 323 and 289 on each side of primary.
secondary measures .2ohm

Disconnect the voice coil. Then measure the secondary again. Also check primary and secondary for shorting to the frame. The audio output tubes could be drawing to much current. Pull both tubes, see if transformer still gets hot.

Transformer still gets hot without audio output tubes. Primary measure .2 ohms disconnected from voice coil. No shorting to frame.

Without the tubes the only other components are C-41 and C-42 that could be shorted. Other than that the audio output transformer is bad.

You are absolutely correct I had replaced only one of the capcitors. Just found the other .0035 capacitor hiding under a bracket, and it is shorted. Replaced it now I hear music to my ears. Thanks alot Warren you and this website are amazing.

I meant secondary measures .2 ohm
