I'm restoring a 1932 model 98 Sparton radio and desperately need a schematic diagram. Can anybody help me please?

Hi David, I can't find a model 98 in either US or Canadian versions. Can you please check the model number (there's an 89, 99 & some with three numbers). Also if you list the tubes I can try to find a schematic using them, it should be close.

Hi,

I looked in MYE Canada and found that a Sparton 98 was manufactured using two 6K7's, 6A8, 6H6, 6C5, two 6F6's, 5Y4G AND 6E5 tubes. However, RCC did not publish a schematic for that one. It may have not been that popular.

Looking further in MYE I found Sparton did make an 87 with the same tube line up except using a 6F5 in place of the 6C5. I think those tubes may be similar except for pin outs and perhaps the 87 schematic may be a little help.

It is in your email.

Ed.
