Motorola 53F2 Schematic help
11/17/2001 1:46:51 AMNorman Black
Hi:

I really need help with this one. I can't find the schematic for this radio... It's model 53f2 and chassis HS-360. I don't have a complete set of Rider's so Im out of luck plus I checked my index for 1-22 and it's not in there either. What am I doing wrong?

Anybody have a schematic for this radio? Or a source of where to look?

Thank you for any help

Hi Norman, I think your set is too modern for Riders to have it. I've also checked Sams Photofact index and nothing there either. What tubes does it use? if it's an AA5 set (12BE6, 12BA6, 12AT7, 50C5,35W4)I should be able to find a schematic very close to yours. It might only have four tubes and use a selenium rectifier in place of the 35W4. Don Black.

Hi Don:

This Set uses 50Y6, 35l6, 12AT6, 12BA6, 12BE6

The Information I'm in desperate need of knowing is the
electroyltic values and placement.

Thank you Don for taking the time to answer my posts and help on this.. I'm hoping to give it to a family member for Xmas.

Hi Norman

You radio is in Sam's Photofact #234. As Don mentioned it's too new for Rider. You could check with your local library for Sam's information. Small libraries can often order information through the County. Sam's will also sell information by calling 800-428-7267.

I will email you a gerneric 5 tube AC/DC radio schematic. Most are very similar. Only your 50Y6 is different. Other radios would use 35Z5.
