GE L 915 W

I need to connect the 'Beam a Scope' antenna to a newly refurbished GE L.915.W. Which terminals connect to what? My schematic does not show the antenna or connections.

Thanks

Hi Frank,
I feel your pain-but I will help as best I can.The schematic that available on this site does show your antenna system, but you have to be good enough at reading schematics to recognize what you are looking at.I don't mean that as an insult,it's just a fact.

However, there is good news.I have a GE J-105 console that is the kissing cousin to your set.I believe the antenna system and connections are exactly the same. The bad news is,I surely hope your antenna leads(4 of them)are still color coded,as in,you can still SEE the colors. They fade with age.

If you can make out the colors here goes:

1. Rotate the antenna so that the connections are directly in front of you.

2. You may want to take a marker and write these right on the top of the antenna next to the appropriate terminal for future reference.

3. The terminal closest to the center of the antenna accepts the GREEN wire.

4. The next terminal outwards from center, accepts the RED wire.

5.The next terminal out, accepts the BLACK wire.

6. The last terminal accepts the YELLOW wire.

The chassies of our two radios are almost identical as far as the RF SECTIONS go,the audio amps are slightly different-mine has ten tubes total.

Good luck,Mike.

Many thanks Mike

I think with the info you have given it will work out just fine

Frank
