So how can I disguise a 6 inch long scratch on the surface of Philco 52? The scratch is not to the wood, only the top layer of finish.

Otherwise, refinish.

Old English Scratch Cover for dark woods. It's no substitute for a refinish job. But sometimes it's better than nothing.

I will leave it alone as the rest of the cabinet is wonderful.
