Thanks Edd ,ur first answer not seem right, so glad u added more. Yes blk. - charger cable in series with ammeter, So that definitely connected to a - side of slenium rectifier. That simple. So has to be + voltage coing from antique charger. Of course that from + end of selenim rectifier. Now DOWN TO ONLY ONE WIRE from xmfr not connected. That has be connected to where - and + ends of rectifier hooked together

Sir jim l . . . . .

Rgr . . . Rgr . . . now that just automatically leaves the errant single wire from the power transformer to be going to one of the sets of combined +- 's of the selenium rectifier to completely get the AC into the circuitry.

As per the ammeter being in line within the the negative leg of the supply . . . . thats a bit weird . . . maybe you'se done gots your selfs a model whut was being from Aus-straaaaay-le-yuh . . . . . what with it being built upside down . . . you know.

Its electrons probably flow Counter Clockwise also . . . . . just like the spinning eddy currents in their flushed toilets.

73's de Edd

(Sort of keep this kind of hush-hush, as I am still in the BETA testing phase) . . . . but . . .

EUREKA ! I have just invented the cordless extension cord !
