Can anyone recommend the proper size replacement dial cord string for this radio/phonograph console?

Do you mean the length of the string or the diameter/thickness? I've used braided nylon (not monofilament) fishing line for years and I think it works great. No problems with slipping or wearing out prematurely. Mark from Kalamazoo

The common dial cord is the .028 diameter. This is a link for 25 feet for $3.50 a spool. Nothing works better than real dial cord. No slip no stretch easy to work with.
