Hate to take up time, but as I said I am just learning and GLAD for help.I am 72 and grew up with these old radios.Anyway to start with elet.cap 30uf 160v.pos.on #6pin on 35L6.Neg.on #1 pin on 12SK7 witch is solder to ground. OLD resistors got hot so I changed them.New ones still got hot.Value is correct, tube 35Z5 changed twice and tested.1 res.33 ohm on #2pin to #3pin.Res. 220 ohm on #3pin to #4 pin. Res.2200 ohm also on 35Z5 #6 pin to #3 pin on 12SK7.Changed all caps one at a time with correct values.Checked for loose wires bad solder. All tubes tested good.Tried another speaker I knew was good.I have not mastered pin point checking voltages.I,m getting there. THANKS Ya,ll pass a good time

35L6 pin 6 is an empty lug.

Maybe 35l6 pin 6 is just used as a tie point.

or ... Maybe you are counting the pins in reverse. In that case the + lead of the 30uf would be on the plate B+

Also 12sk7 pin 1 is simply a ground point.
