I need to get your opinion.
For some years now I have been obsessed with the idea of starting a Radio and Television Museum here in Marlborough, Mass.
There is one in NY and I believe one under construction near Massachusetts but none in this area.
There are MANY empty buildings ( i,e, For Lease) in the area and I think that my collection would be a good start.
Of course I would have to get grants or some other funding to begin and to partially pay for the overhead costs (light, heat, rent , security). The ULTIMATE thing would be to have some non-profit organization actually DONATE a building to the cause.
This is just an idea now that I am getting older and may retire in another 10 years or so.
Any thoughts on the subject - what is the interest level??
Thanks
Lou
I like the idea but do it as a hobby not a way to make extra money. Most of the population will have little interest. Hard to believe since we are interested.
There is a guy in town with a store selling old clocks. Hardley anyone comes in to look at the clocks. He doesn't care as it's his hobby and would need a building anyway to store everything. Might sell a couple a month.
Don't be disappointed if not many view your radio museum.

Perhaps you could arrange to have your collection permanently or semi-permanently displayed at an established radio museum. Or maybe a virtual museum on the internet to display your collection to the world.
