Is this a isolation transformer for radio repair & how could this be checked to see if working correctly??

Well I have a WP-28.

If it is anything like mine, it has a direct output and a fused , isolated output.

Both outputs when live should put out line voltage. Check the spec though on how much wattage the unit will handle in isolation mode.A google of the unit p/n should yield specs.

Other than that if the isolated port is putting out line voltage, plug a TV ( working ) or other accessory into it to see if you can draw current. This unit will allow you to work on transformerless power supplies, TVs, etc without the danger of getting a line to ground short.

Sorry just saw your question.

Well make sure the unit has good fuses of the proper rating in it.

Plug in a low wattage appliance ( like a radio or lamp) in each of both outlets on the unit and see if it powers up properly.

The isolated output can be checked relative to the input plug on the unit with an ohmmeter. You should not read any continuity from each outlet socket blade to each plug blade - that's how an isolation transformer works - no direct connection to the wall source!!
