Pilot T-511

I'm restoring a 1947 Pilot T-511 radio. If anyone has one, I'd like to know if the shortwave local oscillator frequency is higher or lower than the intended rceive freqeuency? An easy way to tell is by listening to an image. It the weaker image is 910 kHz lower than a station's actual freqiency, the LO would be higher than the intended receive frequency. Thanks in advance for any help!

Usually the oscillator is higher than received signal until the FM band. Here is an easy way to tell.

The higher frequency will have smallest tuner section.

Norm
