I think that the key to this question is117Z6G, and not GT. Yhe original tubes in these sets had the "G" suffix, and
were like a tall "GT" envelope. True also for the other battery tubes. This only went on for a couple of years, and finally, all of the tubes had the conventional "GT" height.
