Don't have the information but on the X1 scale a meter draws high current. If your 1 1/2 volt battery is slightly weak a meter won't zero.
The high resistance scale probably uses a higher voltage battery. Could this battery be missing?

: I have a Simpson Model 270 Series 3 but have no Schematic. Can one be acquired? The meter works OK except for the resistance functions. When shorting leads for zero adjustment on Rx1 range the needle will not make it to zero. On Rx100 It Zeros and seems to read properly. On the Rx10,000 Range there is no needle movement when leads are shorted. Any Suggestions?
