Philco Model 49 - 1601
7/3/2011 3:22:48 PMJeff Richards
Hello, My wife and I recently purchased a Philco AM Radio/Phonograph model 49-1601. It is in excellent shape but could use some work. What makes this different than the 49 - 1600 or 1602 is that it has two arms for the records. One for the 45's and one for the 78's It also has a couple items on the record player that are unusual to control size & speed. I can not find any pictures and information about my model but can find many of the other models. I buy old radios & record players because they look cool but would like to have a couple fixed up if possible. Have any information?

Jeff,

The Philco 49-1601 is listed in Sams 50-13. You may be able to find this at a larger local library or you can purchase it for 15 bucks from: http://www.samswebsite.com. Just type in 491601 in search.
