NEED A GEAR....ANYONE HAVE???

I posted a while back that i needed a gear for my Airline "movie dial" drive...I am still searching at clock shops and old V.C.R.s ect. ect... with no luck...I need a gear that is 1 9/16 in diameter with 72 teeth...shft size does not matter...original was fiber..would prefer steel

Last time it was 1.5" dia w/82 teeth. Are you sure?

Yea, I know 'bout the glasses thing, even though they're hanging around my neck. I'll look at my gear stock again.

Assume you're not interested in authenticity, since you opted for a steel gear vs the orig fiber. Google Studio Sound Elect, and look at their selection of rubber tires/belts for old electro-mechanical sound reproducers. Might be able to retread your fiber wheel with a new rubber tire, if you reduce it's dia. As long as OD is near the orig, should mesh well with gears, and retain turns ratio. May require a little experimentation though.

Now thats an idea....Dam won't work.. It wont work because the small spur gear off the motor directly drives the fiber gear...The small spur gear doesn't have enough friction to drive whole thing...DAM
