I have a Hickock 750 tube tester.... Can anyone tell me where to find the settings for the old 4 pin tubes.
Like the 201A 112A 12A and 301A Which I understand are close to the same...
Thank You Leo inn NM

Hi Leo

There is some information for Hickok 750 here:

http://bama.edebris.com/manuals/hickok/750/

You are right, all tubes you listed are triodes with the same basing. You know 201A and 301A are same as 01A.

Norm

By the way, if your '01As are weak, they can be rejuvenated - since they have thoriated cathodes. Run the filament at, say, 7.5V (or higher if necessary) for a while in your tube tester. Best to rig up a test cable so that the plate and grid are not connected. A test cable can be made from a 4-pin socket and the base broken off a dud tube.

Hi Dug and Norm Thanks for the info, one more question, I have several model AK 33 schematics but cant seem to find the one that tells which tube set is best. One schematic said they all 01A,s is that true. Thanks again Leo in NM
