I need to replace my transformer on this 1937 Zenith console. It has # C95-289-N stamped on it. but when I went to order it from a supplier they wanted the impedence, SP,PP and wattage, does anyone know what those would be on this transformer, and any recommmended sources to find one reasonably priced?

Dave F,
You might try a 'universal output' transformer. It has taps for several different input impedances and output impedances. Antique Electronics Supply (www.tubesandmore.com) has the P-T291 rated at 8 Watts for around $17. You can try different primary and secondary tap combinations that sound best with your speaker.

There is a site that gives the impedeance of output tubes, and you can find it with Google. Also has a good tutorial. Google "Output transformers" and you can find it. Very useful.

I see a junk chassis on a 10-s-147 on Ebay, would you know if the power transformers would be compatible?
