Sears Power Shiftr Restore
3/5/2011 6:49:21 PMButch
I'm a novice so please be patient with me. I want to restore a Sears Power Shiftr Model 6686 found Riders Sears 17-1. What should I replace the selemium rectifier with? Can I replace the RA1 with a 1N4007 diode? How and what would I replace the RA2 with?

RA2 is a single diode with two wire leads connected to the anode. The two wires from the diode connect to selector plug W pins .. ( F to F = 5.8 ) ( S to S = 6.9 ) A dropping resistor will need to be added in series with the diodes.

I understand the need for the resister but am not clear on the wiring for RA2. Each of the wires from plug W goes to the cathode of a diode and the anodes of the two diodes are tied together and go to ground??
