Hi,

does anyone know of anyone who rewinds the 2
wire wound grid #1 and grid #2 resistors ?
or what type of wire and a source so I can
rewire them for myself ? i'd like to keep it looking
origional.
Thank you in advance for any help.

Hi Jack

I use wire recorder wire. You can buy nichrome wire from AES, tubesandmore.com . To do a neat job wind two wires, side by side. Then remove one. This will leave spacing between each turn. Exact resistance isn't critical.

Yeah, Norm thanks for the idea of the spacing trick. I've talked before to you about these troublesome resistors. Ever found a way of soldering these original wires yet? I just now thought of maybe using an acid based soldering flux typically used in plumbing work. Of course it would have to be cleaned later, but might that work? Thanx so much for your help, Norm.
