I'm replacing the power cord on a Sonora RCU-208 with the series type heater tubes,35Z5,etc. and I've always wondered how to install a polarized power cord on these units.Where does the hot and neutral wires connect on these AA5s?

Hi,
As a general rule of thumb, the hot side should go to the switch, however trace out the circuit to determine that the unswitched side happens to have the lower resistance to the chassis/ground.

Often you will find a connection direct to the chassis, in which case this should always be the "low"/neutral side.
