Crosley Model 1117 (Super 11) Power Transformer
2/1/2011 10:12:49 PMRay Inman
I just bought a Crosley Super 11 and the power transformer is shorted and smoking. The short is definately internal and not external to the circuits. Can someone recommend a suitable replacement.

Hi Ray

Suggest you check here:

http://www.oldradioparts.com/2a23efl.txt

Schematic:

Can also buy a transformer from AES, www.tubesandmore.com and Radio Daze, www.radiodaze.com .

Didn't try to figure exact requirements but need a transformer with 5 volts @ 2 amps, 6.3 volts @ 3.5 amps and 300-0-300 @ 90 ma or more. You can go higher in current but size gets larger.
