Coronado 990B

Hi,

I'm working on a Coronado 990B, which has an unusual tuning knob configuration. The tuning shaft has rubber grommet on the end which, when the shaft is pushed in (it's on a spring) meets a lip on the dial/tuning gang and moves it by friction. The rubber grommet is in good shape, but I'm looking for something to put on it to "condition" the rubber to keep it from hardening and cracking.

Any suggestions?

Thanks//Jeff

Mink oil paste (for shoes) is suppose to be good for rubber. Or make a better drive with a neoprene faucet washer.
