I have an old NOS Philco tube, 1C1. It says here sub for 1R5. Can't be 4 pins vs. 7 pins. Checked # on tube to be sure its 1C1. Not in my 1954 RCA tube book. Has 4 pins like an 80. Any info?

Hi Jim

1C1 is a ballast tube. It's used in series with 2 volt filament tubes when they are operated off a 3 volt battery.
