Silvertone Stereo
1/14/2011 9:56:10 PMGary W. Prutchick
I am looking for the schematic for a Sears, Silvertone, dare I say, solid state stereo! The only number I have is C817-50130, which I believe is the chassis number. The stereo is circa 1967.

Ok, I realize this thing may not qualify as an antique but the cabinet is cherry and it has a working Garrard turntable.

Any help would be appreciated.

That number isn't getting any hits. Sears uses an xxx.xxxxxx identification or an actual model # plate riveted somewhere.
Is the C-817-50130 an ink stamp or impression? Any other numbers or manufacturer names anywhere?

Hi Walter,

The number C817-50130 is stamped on a nameplate glued to the chassis. On the back of the cabinet is another plate with the Sears Stock Number 18210. One thing I failed to mention is that this unit was made in Canada.
