I'm trying to get my old Atwater Kent model 70 up and running. One tube was bad. It's a capped tube, 327 or 227, not sure which one it takes. I've seen none in Colorado Springs, or on Ebay etc. Can anyone tell me if I can change out the tube holder and change that tube etc. That's all I need to get this set up and running. Hi Richard

You may need a 24A tube? A 327 and 227 are both the same, early versions of 27 but don't have a cap. The Atwater Kent 70 has 3 - 24A tubes , 2 - 27, 2 - 45 and an 80.

Drop the prefix. Older tubes may be marked UX245 etc. This will be a globe shaped #45 tube. Older tubes are worth more.

Do not change the socket. Tubes are available. If you can't find what you need send me an email.
