Hints on posting photos
12/24/2010 8:16:13 PMTerry Decker
Here's how I post a photo.
First, a couple of facts:
Your photo MUST already be posted somewhere online. What you are posting here is NOT the photo itself, but a hyper-link to it's actual location. Some popular free photo sites include Photobucket, myspace, etc. I happen to use myspace. Also, the photo can't be too large. A resolution of 600 to 700 seems to be best.

You must know how to highlight the URL. The URL is the internet address. It's the http://www-etc. In Firefox you click on the photo to open it, then right click and choose "copy image location" In Internet Explorer you must 'highlight', (click and draw) and then copy it.
To post the image here you use the 'paste' option from the drop down menu in 'edit'. This is the edit tab in the upper left hand portion of your main page, next to File, View, etc.

Now, follow these directions and, assuming you have correctly copied the URL, you can post a photo.

First, type in the 'less than symbol' on your keyboard. It looks like this <
Next type in img. The i MUST be small.
Then skip a space.
Next type in src and follow it with the equal sign =
Without any spaces paste the URL in here.
Finish with the 'greater than symbol' it looks likt this >

So, you'll have

That should put your image in your message. If it doesn't work, then somehow you haven't copied and pasted the URL, or address, correctly.

Here is a small photo

And here is a large photo

I hope this helps

Okay, I've noticed this before. In my previous message it say's "it looks likt this" (Okay, obviously I misspelled like), but I attempted to type in an example link. For some reason, the site does not allow that, which is why you see that empty box.
Anyway, follow the steps I outlined and you shouldn't have any trouble. I've posted my email address if anyone needs help.
