Sprague Orange Drops

I recently got (at auction) some NOS sprague orange drop caps of various values and they have markings indicating negative side. I would like to use these in certain radios and wondered if the pole markings must be observed?
They are mylar and paper orange drops.

May be tantalum electrolytic caps, not poly film types. Tantalums normally only go to 35 volt rating. Polarity must be observed. Never tried them in old radios. Richard

Hi

Orange Drops may have a small black line by one lead. It only indicates outside foil. Best to connect this side to ground, if possible, to keep noise at min. Not a polarity indicator.

Thanks for clearing the brain fog. Yes it wouldn't be neg/pos. I knew that at one time......must not be taking enough vitamin D or something.
