Rodec Auditorium Amp, need information about
1/26/1999 7:52:51 AMPeter Lehmann
I got a stereo amplifier brand: Rodec, type: auditorium.
It is a 2*15w with EL84 (6BQ5) in pp-finalstage and
ECC83 in the prestages. It has a preamp for mm-cartridges,
switchable from RIAA to DIN EQ. It also has a preamp for
a stereo-microphone (one ECC83) and of course inputs
for tuner, tape and crystal-cartridge. All inputs have
level controls on the backside. Chassis and housing are
made of steel with golden anodized aluminium frontplate.
It seems to be Dutch made because it uses resistors,
caps and electrolytics made by Philips. The tube-
sockets are ceramic by Preh. Original tubes are by Adzam.
Who can tell me more about this amp ant it's manufacturer?
Thanks for all Peter

I've got a Philips EL6405 Amplifier. It has 4 inputs and one output and that is all I know about it. I would like to have a schema of it or a description how tot connect/use it.

Does someone has any idea where i can get it, because searching on the internet didn't had much result.

Adzam valves are extremely rare. They appear to be Mazda valves sold into the French market in the 1950s. I think the name got reversed to avoid litigation? Maybe this indicates that this amplifier is French rather than Dutch - but that's only a guess.

Best regards - Chris Parry.

Hi Peter,

Rodec isn't a Dutch brand !
It's a Belgian brand which is specialized in the manufacturing of high quality DJ & Disco mixing tables!
They're located in Antwerp.
Unfortunately i don't know much about their amps, you might check their website: www.rodec.be
