Agendas, Hacking and Hard Drive Errors (Censorship by Western Digital?)
11/8/2010 7:34:10 PMNostalgia Air
Nostalgia Air has not been hacked or censored, nor is there an "Agenda". While occasionally posts get removed for content or flaming (you can call it censorship or courtesy the choice is yours), that is rare. In this particular case the culprit was a hard drive failure. I thought the software recovered all of the posts. I would have otherwise reported the loss. Since the forum database recovery was not completely successful there may be other missing posts around the same time. Unfortunately if single post is lost in the middle of the thread all of the subsequent (children) posts will be lost as well. If the first (root) post in a thread is lost, the entire thread is lost.

Thanks Richard,
My mind is at ease once again. But the scrubbed posts were suspiciously close in content, to some in the past that raised hackles. In addition, another prolific forum contributor directed several negative comments at me personally, which remained intact, word for word, as if the stars were all aligned for another all out war of words. A Hackers Heaven.

Glad the site is here!! I love the schematics, and I'm sure that others love the advice.

I can't believe that an innocent forum for exchange of ideas and mutual support for the purpose of sustaining a hobby should be tolerated. Just as I pass the nuts on the street as I walk by, I ignore the occasional rants on public forums. The other 99% of us want to continue.
