The highest voltage I have ever heard of for a zener is 200 volts.

You can put lower voltage zeners in series to get to your goal. Try to use similar values so the load is distributed equally and use a fuse or current limiting resistor in the circuit. What are you building, anyway?

FYI:

Those are also available in surface mount type.

Zener diodes or spike suppressors ?

I often see 330V "avalanche diodes" as spike suppressors.

As for availability, you can drop a note to the guys on this link http://www.datasheetdir.com/Z105B+Zener-Diodes;
Extensive Technology Ind. Co., Ltd.

They should be able to direct you to a local source, if any.

Good luck.

Hi Chip

There is a reason Zener diodes aren't common in higher voltages. Zener diodes are rated in watts. As voltage increases the diodes handle lower current. At 330 volts drawing only 1 ma is already .33 watts.

Does voltage need regulation? TV's used a 6BK4 tube to regulate high voltage. There are other gas regulator tubes that can be used in series.
