VR54 TUBE IN PLACE OF 6H6 ??

Hello to everyone! I just aquired this wonderful Canadian RCA C-141 and it says "Globe Trotter on the dial which is a cool spiral dial.There are 4 doors ,2 for the speaker and 2 for the radio.Anyways there is a VR54 tube where a 6H6 tube should be.There is no VR54 listed here in the "tubes" section .Is this okay??Is this a voltage regulator tube?? Thanks for info!

It seems to be a 6h6 with less heater current draw.
