Does anyone have information on Appleby Radio Co.? (other than radiomusem.org has)

In particular I am looking for information on a Model 70.

Thanks! Richard

Richard,
Many years ago there was a parts distributor by the name of Burnstein-Appleby, similar to the original Radio Shack (pre Tandy Leather) Don't recall them offering finished products, but might try a Google on that.

Marv,

Thanks, I remember them. Like you, I do not recall them offering finished products. The tag on the inside of the Radio says:

Appleby Radio Manufacturing
Model 70
Appleby Manufacturing Co.
250 N. Jupiter Street
Philadelphia

It is well made. With all of the radio's I have owned, sold, traded and even not acquired over the past 35 years I don't recall another like this.

Richard,
I Googled Burnstein-Appleby and got at least 1 hit. It was a CB radio, and noted a few other finished products with a BA logo. May need a deeper search, but don't try WikiLeaks, otherwise FBI will be on your trail

Thanks for the link. I usually do a pretty good job at rooting out related links but I missed that one. While it isn't much, it is a little more information.
