Look for a three or four digit number on the back of the chassis, or the top of the power transformer. The schematic for it might be here in the Rider's section, look under "Gambles/Skogmo".
As for age, look at the tube types if the schematic is not available, and you can date it to a certain range of about 5 years.
: I bought this radio at a yard sale. It's a tube radio, floor model. Don't know anything about radios. It does work. The paper label on the inside says Zenith Model number 5729. Can't find a date for it. There is a stamped number on the top left corner states 78468. Any information would be appreciated. Tried looking for it on websites to no luck. It has 3 dials, (one missing), The dial on the radio says BC 55 60 70 80 100 120 140 160 KC, Corondo under the numbers. Thanks for any help.

If it is a battery type, Check the Gambles/Skogmo model 650, as that has a large round face that would fit into a Zenith cabinet rather well.
If it appears that the change had been made a long while ago, it is a novelty in the sense that it was one manner in which radios were kept operational and looking presentable.
: Hi,
: From your description, you have a Coronado chassis in a Zenith cabinet.

It doesn't run on batteries. (don't know much about the electic parts). It has a rectangular opening. Thank you so much for your help in iding the radio for me.
: Hi, You did not mention if it was a battery type or 120VAC, or not. and if the Zenith cabiet had a round window, or rectangular opening, or if it was oval.
