Silvertone ???
10/20/2010 11:04:35 PMAnton
I have a Silvertone with the following tube lineup
6BJ6
6BJ6
12BE6
12AV6
50C5
35W4
The model number is not visible on the identification tag. It has a clock on the side, and provision for plugging something on the back.

Can anybody tell me the model number so that I can download the circuit from Nostalgia Air

:Hi Anton. It's kind of hard to tell with just a tube line up. Is it AM/FM? Can you post a photo?

It is definitely AM and it has a ferrite rod aerial. The tuning capacitor is a three gang but only one seems to be used

Sir Anton. . . . .

The point of differentiation on that set is the use of 2 6BJ6's . . . .. didn't find such with a ? Silvertone?
but if one ignores the mere simplicity of a clocks timer actuation / switching.

Try the possibility of this Garod , since it is using a 6BJ6 tube as an RF amp and also in the IF stage.

Sooooooooo . . . check and see if the unit has a 3 section tuning condenser.

Also this unit additionally has one short wave band in addition to the common BCB .

BUT fron the basic similarity of the schematic design . . . . . . taking note of a "brother" 50B5 being used instead of the akin 50C5 . . .u just might be able to work with it.

Thank you for the SIR.
It has a three section tuning capacitor, but only two control knobs, one for tuning and one for volume. No on/off switch is privided either.
The rear panel says that the maximum pluggable load is 1000W. Must be for some kind of coffee machine, since the clock is an alarm clock!!!

Never knew radios made coffee as well!!
