Hi I have a Ware Model W which was Ware top of the line radio in 1924. They also sold this radio in
1924 as the Model WU for $300.00 then.
I really needed a schematic or a wiring diagram for this radio. I have been a Engineer for many years.
I worked for Raytheon,NASA,and the US military.
I also work for some of the top Radio Stations in
America. Recently I lost my wife at Christmas time due to a very young girl who crashed into my wife car.
It ended up killing her and her parents. My oldest daughter and I were the only ones to live. I am just trying to get this radio up and working before Christmas,so my daughter can listen to it. I had to sell off my Home and everything in it to pay for
hospital bills and funeral cost that were very high.
I ended up moving to Texas to start my life over again
and raise my daughter. Well I thought some one would have at least answered my first post. Anyways I will
not bother anyone on this site anymore. I also sent a email to the webmaster and never heard back from them.
Anyways it hard when you loose your family at Christmas time. I was not even expected to live past the 2nd day in ICU and I ended up staying in ICU for a month, and so did my daughter who is now only a 11years old.

Sometimes people don't respond because they simply don't have what you are looking for. They are not rude or uncaring. Being pretty close as the only woman here, they have helped me alot.
Now, you are still grieving and reaching out. Grief only heals with time, but always leaves a scar. Bad things happen to good people all the time. It is sickening to the soul, but it ia also a part of life. Give yourself plenty of time to grieve, as you have lost alot. But you still have your daughter, be there for her always. She needs you more than the radio.
You will get it fixed, don't worry and don't be so hard on yourself or others. "This too shall Pass".
Take Care...

Hi Sean,
Have you enough information to get started?
Most radios from 1920's were battery powered. The proper voltage can be obtained by placing modern batteries in series.
Tubes can be a problem on these, too, since tubes back then were not as reliable. Does your set have a full set of tubes?
Best Regards,
Bill Grimm
