It looks like you used a double wire, similar to lamp cord, for the whole coil. If so it would only be a 1:1 ratio. Not much gain. Antenna coils are usually 1:6 or so. I was thinking more of a smaller coil with larger diameter wire. I just can't visualize how to mount it all together.
I really like your work.
I like to use lots of heatshrink.

Thanks for sharing.
Terry

PS- for posting photos maybe this will help- Leave a space between img and src= no space between either < or > The last comes right after jpg.(No parenthesis of course)
The hard part is getting the link. That's why I like Fire Fox. You just right click on the photo and choose "copy image location" then edit and paste.

Keep trying, you'll get it. Trust me, if I can, anybody can.

:Wow, nice pics, but you're right, I've never seen a 1 meg photo file before. I'm surprised your email server didn't hang up. My digital camera has an email setting that's about 100Kb

MORE-
Where you see the little square is where the forum won't let the complete instructions from to be displayed. I don't know why. It REALLY makes it hard to explain how to post a photo.

Terry,
If you look very closely, i used a 1 to 16 ratio on the antenna wire. This gave me a very high gain. Even changed the I.F. transformer alignment by 10 khz or so. Radio works very well. When i get your book i will challenge the alignment of the I.F.'s with this antenna.
I am still working on how to post a pic on this Froum.
Comments welcome and thanks for the help.
