I am getting ready to design the workbench for my new 'radio repair' work room. I was wondering what everyone's realistic "Dream Workbench" would be like (so I can borrow ideas of course). Something practical to build. I know from experience my old 4' long by 24" deep bench was simply too small.

No Matter what size you build...
from my experience,
it will be too small,
AND you will only have about 6 square inches of free & clear work space.... :-)

You can easily place it across two 2-drawer files or build a simple leg base:
