::This might be an export version of a Granco product sold by W.T. Grants department store that closed their doors about 1975.
Sams Photofacts lists a 620'V' in folder 327-8. The 'U', if it is the export model would probably have a different mains power supply.
There are other Granco's that might be similar in Beitman's Most-often-needed service publications. Models 601, 701 and 750.
Beitman's manuals may still be availible for free viewing on the internet.
I don't know who manufactured the radios for Grants. Are there any identifying brand names inside the unit or on an attached label?

Sir Frank . . .

I certainly think that 620 unit, might be one that is close enough circuitry wise, to use the 1959 Beitmans page 60. . . . . folder that Sir Warren referred to.

I remember seeing my first one at that time, and was really impressed with its performance and sound, coming from such a rinky dinky circuit.

With the norm FM unit at that time, being transformer powered and of an 8-10 tubes lineup..

I think that the model suffix was just referencing to the plastic cabinet color.

W.T. Grants department store
was a great hangout spot.. In the front lobby they have pinball machines.

They also had a decent selection of plastic models.
Yup... Buy & build them in the morning, and
blow them up with cherry bombs and fire crackers in the after noon..

_Stimulating the economy the old fasioned way _ :-)

In my town Caldor's moved into the empty building
a few months later..

Sir Frank . . .

Hopefully that unit will only be needing the 80/20 electrolytic in the power supply changed out, along with the 2 ufd summing capacitor in the FM detector circuitry.

The definition of parts is somewhat dismal on areas, but at least you can see all of the wiring proper along with the power supply.

If a better copy is needed, the next time I am out to the mule barn archival storage, I will see if the Samuels of that unit is being presented any better, considering that they might have completely redrawn it and did not just utilize this manufacturers copy.

Many thanks. The circuit is perfect. Especially so since the FM section is up the spout. Now we can fix it more easily
