I have a Ware model TU, 1926 and it doesn't have any tubes with it. It looks like it uses 3 UV199's. Did these come in short and long pin, if so, how do I know which to order?

UV199s have short pins. UX199s have long pins. The side pins for the UX199s are lower on the base, so either will work in a UV199 socket.

Mmmm, UX199s have no bayonet pins, as the pinout is different from the UVs (filament is on opposite pins, vs. adjacent for the UX tubes).

I stand corrected. I must be confused (again).

You were thinking of standard UV tubes, but the '99 is the exception.
