Signal Generator wire problem....Help

Hi Guys,
Hoping someone may be able to help me out on a little project I have been working on. Someone gave me an old 58-59 RF signal generator. Had two sets of electrolytics, one can was an 80-40-20, the others were 3 30's. Problem is, There is no longer a name on the front, and the paint was peeling off. It was something like "Econoline, Ecoline, Eco Air. I have no idea. Can't find anything online to compare with.

So back to the wire. There are 2 of the 30's going to floating ground, and the other, even under a magifier I cannot find where it goes. There are 3 tubes to it. The only info I have is as follows: Antenna has the numbers 10-44, Main Adjustment, Bandwidth scales, has the numbers TRW273 6618 934 on tuning cap plus 12-58, has Mc,Kc, CCB, Log, has volume/off switch, BW ABCD, and Regeneration, and antenna tuning.
Any ideas where to look would be appreciated. BTW the case was wood covered with silver paper, front was grey and white. It was in very poor shape, but I wanted to restore it for use. The wire is the shortest of the 3 red ones, I am assuming it may go to the power tube, but don't want to chance blowing it. If you know anything that could help, I would greatly appreciate it. Also have a great day....

Are you sure this is a Signal Generator? It sounds more like you have an old Receiver. I have never seen a signal generator with a regeneration control.

Lou:
And "Antenna Tuning"? and "BW" BandWidth?
