Hello All,
This microphone looks exactly like the EV 611 and EV 911. But which one is it? How can I tell without opening it. If it is operational, it could indicate that it's a dynamic Mic and the 911. But I can't find a cross reference guide anywhere.
If anybody knows, please let me know.

Not familar with mic numbers but if it's dynamic there will be a coil. Should be able to measure resistance across mic terminals. Crystal and ceramic mic's will read as open on a meter.

Norm,
I know this. I opened up the Mic and it's a dynamic mic with a clear plastic diaphragm.

But that still doesn't positively identify the mic. I will need to find a little more information on line, like a cross reference chart from EV to Stromberg-Carlson.

I have been to that page. My mic looks exactly like this one but it's a dynamic mic. It's more like a 611 but my mic doesn't seem to have switchable impedance. I wish there was a cross reference sheet between the Strombergs and the EVs. There's probably a list somewhere.
