I recently sent a speaker to Hank Brazeal in Alabama.
The man is quite a gentlemen and very friendly.
I just opened the box today and wow, what a job he did. The entire speaker looks perfect and ultra neat. I can't wait to re-install it.

:You are quite right. I sent Hank a speaker over the winter, it came back looking brand new. He actually called me and we spent a long time on the phone talking about his military service and, of course, about radio in general. A true gentleman, not many like him around anymore.

I know he's stopped re-winding field coils and has passed that over to someone in the Alabama Antique Radio Historical Society. Hank says he does a great job.

Hi- Do you mind if I ask how much he charged? I have an RCA T8-18 and the speaker is trash.

I've got a lot of advice on repairing it myself, but I don't think I can pull it off.

Terry, sorry it took me so long to respond.
I would not want to undermine any price for Hank.
Just measure the speaker and call him and he will give you a price, no gimmicks.

I have had two or three speakers re-coned by Mr. Brazeel. He does excellent work and you are never left in the dark as far as how much it is going to cost (very reasonable) or when he will have it done.
And this is all revealed, when possible, before you send it to him and with helpful hints on shipping too.
He has also called me and let me listen to my speaker before he sent it back and then followed up when he knew it should have been delivered. Way more too much to expect for the job he is paid for. He is a retired accountant if I recall and does NOT restore radios himself. As they say on Ebay ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ Reminds me I have another job for him on an Airline Radio I bought from the Antique Archeologists. Two more boys you can get good deals with in my opinion. I have not met them yet but my wife and I have met Danielle. She is very "down to earth" as they say also.
