I have this wonderfull radio in great condition, all in working condition except for the speaker. can you suggest a way to connect a modern speaker as a replacement. Thanks

Hi Bud

Kolster 6J requires a high impedance speaker. You can use a modern speaker with output transformer. Output transformer value isn't critical. One used with a 6V6, 6F6, 41, 42 etc will work.

If the block of caps have not been replaced in this radio I would highly suggest doing so...The large "book" caps will be or go bad...If it is something you are going to actually use for short periods of time I would suggest doing so....
