Some years ago(more than I care to admit) there was a story out of England of people in an area receiving the test pattern (now you know how long ago it was) of a Texas TV station for a half hour or so for several days in a row at a certain time each day. Could have been a freak atmospheric phenomena except that the TV station in Texas had not been on the air for several years at the time.

Could be that someone in England got ahold of the Texas broadcasting station test pattern, and was either broadcasting it for his own purposes or as a joke.

I have a friend who got ahold of an old home record cutting lathe, and decided to record all sorts of weird and grotesque things on some blanks, and then sold the machine with the discs.
