Atwater kent speaker driver..pot metal..how to unscrew?

Are there any tricks to unscrewing an old Atwater Kent pot metal speaker driver...I have the driver removed from speaker but can not unscrew to adjust...parts are not warped or have metal fatigue..Any ideas?

Part 2= I have squirted some penatrating lube and am hoping it will soak down into threads...I wana be careful with this one as to not break it apart...Just wondering if anyone has any trick that have worked...

I know how pot metal can get. Seems to oxidize. Have used liquid wrench with good results. A few drops, let it sit for a few hours. Add more after and let sit again. Also some heat to expand the stuck part.

Actually, the heat idea works, you just have to know where, how, and how much.

I used my heat gun on the lager "base" part and got very hot...I then carefully put it in my vice and jently used a large channel lock pliers to slowly turn off...
