Antenna Plug

Curious about this plug. Mounted on a stewart warner and wired into the antenna coil and chassis. How were these originally used?

Hi Scott
Some homes made in the 1930's had built in antenna and ground. Antennas were usually run into the attic and ground may be to a water pipe.
Radios had two connectors that plugged into the wall. One for AC power and the other antenna/ground.
