I can't find any reference to Bestone in my books. The tube line-up suggests mid-1930s. What is the problem with your set?

I have had a few of these radios in my posession with that name on them...They were produced by the Henry Hyman & company.. The radios I have had with this name on them were early battery sets from the 20s....That all I can tell you ....

:ok thanks for that, my set is obviously an export model , it has the european long waveband fitted in addition to standard broadcast, the station names on the dial place this set late thirties , certainly pre WW2. Thanks for the info regards john...

This TRF circuit seems to be used in various unknown model sets. If you look at the Air King 21 schematic you see 3 different prints. One should be a close match. Also the Warwick 342 has 3 prints. The 542 is another close match.

It's the Warwick 542 the 342 may be the close match.
