I picked up this nice Crosley from another NA forum member today. Besides needing a grill cloth it's in pretty fair condition. It even plays. The problem is that I can't find any info. The plaque says it is either a model 635 or 695, it's REALLY hard to tell. My Collectors guide shows the exact same radio as a model as a 655. It has 6 tubes, but I don't want to go pulling off grid caps, etc., to find numbers because it looks very delicate. And I don't want to go tearing into it without some documentation.
So-
Who knows?

Terry,
The 635 and 655 pictured at Radiomuseum.org look the same.
However, yours appears to be the 635. It uses a 76 as the detector, where the 655 uses a 6H6.

Great! Thanks Carl-
Yeah, that got me the info. It's a real nice looking radio, no major problems with the cabinet. The speaker is a little stiff, and may need to be replaced. Also the dial cover has yellowed, but not excessively. The dial lights work, and like I said, it plays. Right now all it needs is the grill cloth, which I have, and some TLC.
Thanks NA Louisville Forum member John G. for the neat addition, and I hope you enjoyed the tour of my world.
