I'm doing research for a TV quiz show and I need to
find out about the Philadelphia Storage Battery Co. Is
this the same thing as Philco? Are they still in
existence? If so, is there a phone#? I need to know
if they were the first company to introduce car radios,
and if so, in what year. Any help would be greatly
appreciated. Thanks!

The Philadelphia Storage Battery Co. is the same company as Philco. Philco was bought by Ford in 1961. The name was retained until 1974.
